MAKING MALTA MORE BEAUTIFUL

A very worthy event happens on March 24th and its coming to a beach near you!

So get your gloves on, be a role model for the kids and welcome spring by doing something worthy. Come down and help clean up one of Malta’s most beautiful beaches – Ghajn Tuffieha.

That's Rubbish MaltaThis beautiful and unique country needs your help by having safe and clean beaches, so children, the young, families and us all can enjoy them without fear of having to wade through rubbish washed up and discarded. So go and have some fun and feel proud of doing something worthy on a Saturday afternoon.

This excellent project is run by Michelle Bartolo founder of That’s Rubbish Malta and is in conjunction with Ocean’s Initiative 2012.

That’s Rubbish Malta is a voluntary group that organises beach and countryside clean-ups around Ghajn Tuffieha, Golden Bay, Gnejna, Buskett Forest, and Wied Babu/Blue Grotto.

It’s their aim to make an impact on Malta’s environment through positive participation by providing a platform through which people can get involved with a hands-on initiative that supports and reclaims our beaches and countryside from the litter louts!

Their message is simple – ‘Get your Gloves on and Make The Change!’

Now their next big event, is on Saturday March 24th and is part of a Euorpean wide Initiative by Surfrider Foundation Europe called Ocean’s Initiative.

“Surfrider Foundation Europe have been doing amazing things to Save the Seas for the past 20 years and we are honoured to be collaborating with them for this initiative while placing Malta on the map for the 3rd consecutive year as a country whose interest lies in Saving the Seas,” says Michelle.

“This is a Europe wide Initiative and we are looking forward to seeing some new faces and raising more environmental awareness.”
